Enrollment
All new families begin the process by completing an on-line inquiry form.
Enrollment Timeline for New Families
If your child will be 3.9 by September 1 (or, for a summer start date, July 1) you must begin the enrollment process by filling out our on-line inquiry form. Inquiry forms can be submitted at any time, however please do not submit an inquiry form unless your child will be age eligible for the next enrollment cycle. Submissions for children who will not meet the age eligibility requirements by the next enrollment cycle will be returned. Your submitted inquiry form automatically puts your child in the enrollment "queue" for the upcoming school year. The minimum enrollment is three full days and priority will be given to those families enrolling for five full days, then families enrolling for four days, then families enrolling for three days. For four and three day families, we will do our best to meet the days you request but cannot guarantee it. Days offered are dependent on availability
Nov- Dec
Re-enrollment of current and alumni families. The applications received from currently enrolled and alumni families determine the spaces available for new families.
Jan- March
If your child will be 3.9 years or older* by September 1st (or by July 1 for families seeking a summer start date) you will be contacted in the order in which your inquiry form was received. If a spot is available you will be invited to visit the school, share information about your child and discuss your expectations for preschool. If you would like to proceed, you will be given next steps to finalize your child's enrollment.
If no spot is available, you will be placed on our Wait List (see below).
*Children who are eligible for Kindergarten are encouraged to find Transitional Kindergarten programs to meet their needs
The Wait List
The school maintains a wait list for the upcoming school enrollment cycle. Sometimes a space becomes available due to family circumstances (a job change or relocation) or a decision to enroll in another school. When this happens we will notify the next person on the list. Families are given a few days to make their decision.
The applications on the wait list are not automatically rolled over for the following school year. Families on the waitlist will be notified of our next enrollment period by email and it will be posted on www.sharonnatureschool.org. A new application must be submitted for each school year and for the Summer Program.
